Listen to The Act of Forgiveness HERE
Today (8.27), “Renaissance artist” (Alternative Press) Scarypoolparty releases his 21-track album, The Act of Forgiveness. This project reveals Scarypoolparty at his most dynamic and undeniable: entirely self-produced, it finds the young auteur experimenting with improvised composition, cinematic post-rock swell, and unflinchingly honest lyrics to weave a narrative about the winding journey to choosing forgiveness and the desire to find joy, love, and friendship.
Recorded in just nine days at LA’s legendary Village Studios and Capitol Studios, the 105-minute album not only demonstrates Scarypoolparty’s prodigious artistic versatility, but casts him as maestro. On 12 of the album’s tracks, Scarypoolparty collaborated with Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning composer Rob Mathes (Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Weezer, Panic at Disco, P!nk) on sweeping, ornate orchestral arrangement. Working with an 18-piece orchestra, Mathes and Scarypoolparty were able to bring unparalleled emotional and musical depth to the project.
“The Act of Forgiveness is an album I made with the idea of making each song sound like a movie. It’s an album I am extremely proud of,” says Scarypoolparty. “The Act of Forgiveness is a story I wanted to tell in chapters; the story of love and heartbreak through relationships and how we all react differently, creating movie-like scenarios around life and not wanting to look at the real picture or past our flawed imagination, when we become totally lost in our imagination, and finally how we can lose ourselves in our environment and get totally lost as to what is real and what isn’t.”
From the title track’s cascading and expressive piano arrangements to “The Darkness,” a piece which combines “Beatles-era psychedelia and a suspense/horror film soundtrack” (New Sounds), this album is a testament to why Scarypoolparty has been called an artist to watch by The Guardian, Alternative Press and Ones To Watch, and why HITS says he occupies “a lane adjacent to that of Muse, Deftones and Radiohead.”
“For any musician, arranger, programmer, or producer, the dream is to work with someone who surprises you constantly and allows you to make deep, rich, dark, exploratory, and blistering music; to get to arrange and conduct on a project with songs like Poison AND The Darkness, Malibu AND Blesser, is absolutely unheard of or, at the very least, extremely rare,” says Mathes on working with Scarypoolparty. “With a voice that can break your heart, he has the ability to write a ballad that cuts you to the core but then music that would make Sigur Ros and Tool proud. His approach to the guitar is breathtaking. It was a gift to be able to write orchestral arrangements for this project. The greatest music made right now on Planet Earth, from Radiohead to Kendrick Lamar, keeps you guessing until the last note is sounded and the last word is spoken or sung. Scarypoolparty is some serious s***!”
Also available today (8.27) is the official video for “Beach House” — a beautiful tragedy of a song that builds to a dazzling and exploratory fantasia of piano and string orchestra. The video is a disastrous reverie and reflection on the cruel vagaries of life and the thin line between happiness and utter despair.

Earlier this Summer, Scarypoolparty released two of the album’s singles “Friends” — which Alternative Press says highlights his “gentle, yet powerful vocal ability…while exploring themes of nostalgia and giving an honest look into the reality of romantic connection” — and “Poison.”

Today, Scarypoolparty announces his ambitious sophomore album, The Act of Forgiveness, to be released August 27th via Hollywood Records/19 Recordings. The 21-track double album — featuring twelve songs with Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning composer Rob Mathes’ orchestral arrangements — further proves Scarypoolparty is a true “renaissance artist” (Alternative Press).
Produced largely by Scarypoolparty and recorded in nine days at LA’s legendary Village Studios and Capitol Studios, the album was conceived amidst widespread uncertainty that forced Scarypoolparty — aka 26-year-old “musical savant” (Ones to Watch) Alejandro Aranda — to strip everything back and figure out who he is.
A culmination of all his styles and influences over the past few years, this record is a bold statement to his artistic versatility. From the softer, more revealing moments, to flowing pop melodies, to heavier rock sounds, Scarypoolparty pulls the curtain on his dynamic and undeniable musical ability. Woven throughout with the sweeping strings and his unbelievable guitar fingerpicking, this double album reiterates the emotional depth of his songwriting as he explores themes of nostalgia, romance, and uncertainty.
Last week, Scarypoolparty previewed the upcoming album with “Friends,” which Alternative Press says highlighted his “gentle, yet powerful vocal ability and borderline unbelievable instrumental talent while exploring themes of nostalgia and giving an honest look into the reality of romantic connection.” Listen to it here.
This fall, Scarypoolparty joins X Ambassadors as direct support on their The Beautiful Liar tour, kicking off Oct. 15th at San Diego’s House of Blues. Tickets for The Beautiful Liar tour will go on sale this Friday, June 18th at 10am local time. Scarypoolparty is currently on his ‘The Acoustic Tour,’ which kicked off earlier this month in Tempe, AZ. This entirely solo, stripped tour continues through June 20th, before he heads to the festival circuit for performances at Summer Camp, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands. A complete list of dates for Scarypoolparty is below and available here.
“Reminiscent of the genre-blending of Post Malone” (Alternative Press) and “lane adjacent to that of Muse, Deftones and Radiohead” (HITS), Scarypoolparty’s steady stream of inventive hits has helped him amass over 15 million combined streams to date and a social following of more than 700K. The 2020 lockdown was a time of trailblazing creativity for Scarypoolparty, during which he gained artistic momentum and expanded his audience. The year included the critically-acclaimed EP DOOM HOLOGRAM, which was featured on NPR New Music Friday, Billboard, The Wild Honey Pie and Forbes, who called it “an incredibly visual and cinematic work.” More recently, he released his LOS ANGELES EP, his most candid project to-date, which MTV calls “a cold, metallic Queen of the Damned soundtrack filtered through the warm lights of his home, Los Angeles.” The EP has received critical praise from across the industry including Paste and Alternative Press who also named him one of 100 artists to watch in 2021.

Freckled Sky & New Media innovators LMG for video using brand-new XR technology
Today (5.13.21), Scarypoolparty discovers an alternate reality in the video for his brand-new explosive single, “Escape” which combines live performances with cutting-edge XR technology. This anguished look into the chaotic future is filled with ensnared robots, post-apocalyptic creatures, strobes and more, swarming Scarypoolparty in an otherworldly maelstrom. Shot in partnership with the multimedia partners Freckled Sky, Pixela, LMG Touring and TRI Direction with post-production by Nowhere 2 Run, the video is the first use of this brand-new, fully immersive XR stage in Las Vegas, NV.
“Escape” is the latest from Scarypoolparty’s — aka 26-year-old Pomona, CA-native Alejandro Aranda — steady stream of projects. He recently released his LOS ANGELES EP, which MTV calls “a cold, metallic Queen of the Damned soundtrack filtered through the warm lights of his home, Los Angeles.” The EP has been met with critical praise from across the industry including Paste and Alternative Press who also named him one of 100 artists to watch in 2021.
He’s released 3 videos from the EP including “Universe” featuring nothing, nowhere. as well as surprise drops with new music on his YouTube channel, releasing videos for tracks “Cellphones” and “The Darkness”, plus a 51-minute piano improv.
After selling out two headlining tours and nabbing slots at Lollapalooza, ACL, and Life Is Beautiful in 2019, Scarypoolparty continues to make waves with his unique style and virtuosity and will make appearances this year at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Summer Camp.
Freckled Sky’s innovative approach to marrying human talents with technologies first gained attention on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. Now, the team is the go-to collaborator for award show performances, music videos and performances for multi-platinum artists as well as global brands.
“My time recording the “Escape” video at LMG was an absolutely amazing experience, says Alejandro Aranda. “They are using new technology to record video and create a space that is beyond words. The staff at LMG were brilliant and my team and I were taken care of for the whole experience. The Freckled Sky team are mad geniuses and made a world that is super inspiring. Every single person that worked on this video is high class and dream to work with. Our friends at Nowhere2Run Productions added some awesome animation and post-production effects to help bring it all together.”
“LMG Touring partnered with Freckled Sky, Pixela, TRI Direction to create an immersive futuristic world for Scarypoolparty to perform in,” says LMG Touring’s Managing Director Craig Mitchell. “Using the latest in real time technology using Epic Unreal Engine, Disguise Media Servers, Stype Camera Tracking Systems and Roe LED Walls and Floors, we were able to create mix of real world and virtual world that would have been impossible to do in any other way.”
On June 4th, Scarypoolparty will embark on his first post-pandemic 16-show “The Acoustic Tour” where he’ll play stripped-down versions of some of his biggest hits. These acoustic, socially distanced shows will kick off in Tempe, AZ with limited tickets still available. Learn more and get your tickets here.

Today (4.8), Scarypoolparty shares his new video for “Paradise.” Directed by Juliana Carpino (Halsey, Bebe Rexxa, Bazzi) and shot all in 48fps, the video pulls the curtain on the not-so-glamorous side of living in LA, from not being able to afford rent, to losing yourself in the superficiality, to the disease of addiction that many of its residents suffer from.
“From the outside, a lot of people think of LA as this paradise,” Scarypoolparty explains, “but living here, you see a lot of people hurting, a lot of people in pain that no one wants to talk about. I really wanted to make a video that puts you in a spot of not knowing what’s real and who’s who. Juliana Carpino really brought the idea to life for the song.”

“Paradise” is just one of the character studies of his hometown that Scarypoolparty presents on his new EP, LOS ANGELES. MTV calls the four-track project “a cold, metallic Queen of the Damned soundtrack filtered through the warm lights of his home, Los Angeles… [it] captures what it’s given him: the emotion, the part-time jobs, the long talks, the longer drives, and every moment in quarantine.” The EP is his most accessible collection yet. He was stylistically able to lean into more pop-focused structures while still channeling signature trap-infused, classical bravado. Available everywhere now, the EP has already been praised by Alternative Press, Paste, Rock Sound, Grimy Goods, and KTLA, and saw instant adds to Spotify’s All New Rock and Et Alt playlists, Apple Music’s New in Alternative and The Nerve playlists, and Amazon Music’s Breaking Alternative.

The 2020 pandemic lockdown was a time of trailblazing creativity for Scarypoolparty (aka Alejandro Aranda), during which he gained artistic momentum and expanded his audience. The year included the critically-acclaimed EP DOOM HOLOGRAM, which was featured on NPR New Music Friday, Billboard, The Wild Honey Pie and Forbes, who called it “an incredibly visual and cinematic work.” Now with an arsenal of never-before-heard music, is ready for a big 2021.
Last month, he released his single “Home,” a dark meditation on longing and loneliness blending organic acoustic elements with electronic samples, which landed on Spotify’s Chill Pop and Creativity Boost playlists, Apple Music’s New Alternative Playlist, Amazon’s Breakthrough Alternative, and more. He’s also been surprising fans with new music on his YouTube channel, releasing videos for tracks “Cellphones” and “The Darkness”, plus a 51-minute minute piano improv.
Out this Friday (3.26), LOS ANGELES (via Hollywood Records) is his first major release of 2021 and a product of the stillness of the past year. Co-produced by SAWYR (Taylor Swift, ZAYN, Nicki Minaj) and Scarypoolparty, the new EP is a complex mix of The Weeknd-esque alt-R&B with a jazz-inspired rock vibe. These songs are filled with raw, introspective honesty and Scarypoolpary’s signature probing lyrics and addictive hooks.
“From the outside, a lot of people think of LA as this paradise,” Aranda explains, “but living here, you see a lot of people hurting, a lot of people in pain that no one wants to talk about.”
LOS ANGELES is undoubtedly Scarypoolparty’s most candid yet, facing anxiety and isolation with his heart affixed firmly to his sleeve. Across the EP, he tackles heartbreak and disillusionment (“Overdone” and “Room Full of Cards”) alongside the stark realities of living in Los Angeles and the ongoing opioid epidemic (“Paradise). The EP’s “pristine” (Rock Sound) trap single, “Universe” featuring emo-rapper nothing, nowhere. finds Scarypooparty flippantly addressing the immense uncertainty of the world. Alternative Press called it an “epic track filled with distorted lyrics and sick keys,” Watch/listen here.
Scarypoolparty has consistently emerged as one of the industry’s standout creators whose underdog story is almost too good to be true.
Stay tuned for more new music from Scarypoolparty.

SCARYPOOLPARTY DISPLAYS RAW, INTROSPECTIVE HONESTY ON NEW ‘LOS ANGELES’ EP (OUT MARCH 26)
New single “Universe” feat. nothing, nowhere. out today – listen
Watch the video here
Today (2.26), “rare virtuoso” (MTV) Scarypoolparty announces his new EP LOS ANGELES (out March 26th) with the release of the project’s first track, “Universe” feat. nothing, nowhere.
The trap-inspired “Universe” brings Scarypoolparty’s creative versatility to the forefront, highlighting his skills as a rapper while addressing the uncertainty of our current times alongside emo-rapper nothing, nowhere.
Scarypoolparty spent much of the past year in reflection, seeing the stillness as a chance to strip away the noise and figure out who he really was. These moments of quiet contemplation are a precious commodity that resulted in his captivating new EP, LOS ANGELES.
This new material is undoubtedly Scarypoolparty’s most candid yet, facing down anxiety, isolation, and disillusionment with its heart affixed firmly to its sleeve. Recorded alone at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, the songs are the product of a life—and a world—put on pause; they’re works of raw, introspective honesty fueled by probing lyrics and addictive hooks. Drawing on everything from pop and hip-hop to R&B and classical music, the tracks are deceivingly bright, wrapping weighty themes and deep personal revelations in dazzling productions that believe their hefty emotional punch.
LOS ANGELES – co-produced by Scarypoolparty and SAWYR (Taylor Swift, ZAYN, Nicki Minaj) – is filled with sparkling, hypnotic arrangements that often disguise the deep-rooted melancholy at the heart of Scarypoolparty’s lyrics. The 4-track projects layers “Universe” with tracks like the dreamy “Overdone”, which mixes R&B vibes with classical flourishes as it faces down the end of a relationship, while the epic closer “Room Full Of Cards” takes a soaring, cinematic look at life after love. While much of the collection finds Scarypoolparty drawing inspiration from within, he shifts his gaze outwards on the electrifying standout “Paradise,” which shines a light on the harsh realities of the opioid epidemic in America. “We’re always dying here in paradise,” he sings on the gritty, compelling track. “We’re always crying here in paradise.”
LOS ANGELES follows Scarypoolparty’s 2020 EP Doom Hologram and debut LP Exit Form. Scarypoolparty — aka Alejandro Aranda — has amassed over 15M combined streams to date and has over 700K social followers. “Reminiscent of the genre-blending of Post Malone” (Alternative Press), his music has received praise from The Guardian, Billboard, Forbes, and more. His recent single, “Home,” has landed on Spotify’s Chill Pop and Creativity Boost playlists, Apple Music’s New Alternative Playlist, and Amazon’s Breakthrough Alternative.

26-year-old creative genius depicts love, longing and loneliness in cinematic new video HERE
Today singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Scarypoolparty released his new single “Home”. Unflinching honesty is the bedrock of “Home.” The track blends organic acoustic elements with electronic samples but beneath its intoxicating pop veneer, Scarypoolparty delivers a dark meditation on longing and loneliness.
Also out today is the official music video for “Home.” Directed by Krizia Vega (Lindsey Stirling, Sabrina Carpenter), the video was conceptualized by Scarypoolparty. The cinematic new video portrays a storybook millennial romance; loving someone so deeply while also battling your own demons. Whether it be depression or disassociation, the all-consuming vice leaves the other person just as broken.

“That song was very much a personal song,” says Aranda. “The song’s about relationship problems and seeing it from the outside perspective and a person not wanting to leave their home. I had this idea of having your emotions inside a house that you built in your soul.”
Written and produced by Scarypoolparty and SAWYR (Taylor Swift, ZAYN, Nicki Minaj) “Home” is a nod back to his singer-songwriter roots, highlighting his bold, altruistic approach to songwriting which has already earned comparisons to the genre-blending styles of Post Malone, Muse, Deftones and Radiohead.
In 2020, he released Doom Hologram — the highly anticipated follow up to his 2019 debut LP Exit Form. This cinematic, concept project meshed modern electronics, experimental instrumentals and visuals with his viscerally honest lyrics, earning praise from places like NPR New Music Friday, Alternative Press, Forbes, The Wild Honey Pie and more.

Today (9.4), Scarypoolparty releases his new project Doom Hologram (download/stream here), a sonic arc of an angel trapped in another dimension. Co- produced and co-written by Scarypoolparty (aka Alejandro Aranda), this eight track concept project is a bold, altruistic escape into his creative genius.
Also available today is the provocative video for one of the collection’s most hard- hitting tracks, “Judas.” Elevated by Scarypoolparty’s unique blending of sweeping orchestrals, distorting guitars and some very Tool-worthy visuals, this hologram of the most infamous fallen angel tours a post-apocalyptic desolate world filled with destruction and flames.
“Judas” is one of many prime examples on Doom Hologram of how Scarypoolparty meshes modern electronics, experimental instrumentals and visuals throughout this music. Last week (8.28), he released “Return2Sender,” a track filled “intricate guitar solos and mesmerizing vocals” to launch the EP on a “relaxing trip through heartbreak and longing” (Alternative Press).
Throughout the EP, he tapped the Nu Deco Ensemble (Jacob Collier, Ben Folds, Macy Gray) to help drive home several of the project’s key conceptual tracks, including “Angel Delete,” where he layers spellbinding orchestral compositions and thrashing guitars over lyrics of anguish and hopelessness. “Judas” is about losing all state of reality and battling to escape your own mind games, before leading us to the collection’s title track, where he grapples with the darkness around him and his own urge to run away. The collection’s cinematic closing track “Paradox” feels otherworldly. He’s created a 7-minute sonic masterpiece: his nu-metal sounds seamlessly erupt into Sigur Ros-style reverie that’ll stop you dead in your tracks.
26 year-old Alejandro Aranda (aka Scarypoolparty) is a Latinx “musical savant” (Ones to Watch) whose underdog story seems almost too good to be true. In just one year, Aranda went from a humble dishwasher busking on the streets of LA to selling out two national headlining tours to making his national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He released his debut album Exit Form at the end of 2019, which has earned over 10 million streams and 100 million on YouTube. By “infusing classical music alongside heavy guitar riffs and melodic vocals, Scarypoolparty in a lane adjacent to that of Muse, Deftones and Radiohead” (Hits). His prodigious talent has been praised by Billboard, American Songwriter, MTV, GRAMMY.com, Ones to Watch (to name a few) and set him as a regular on the festival circuit, performing at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Life is Beautiful and
He was recently featured on NPR Music’s New Music Friday (8.28) and Alternative Press’ roundup of artists you need to be listening to now. In the coming weeks he’ll release special performances with MelodyVR (an app that provides live music in virtual reality) and the GRAMMY Museum.
Tonight (9.4), he’ll play a special release show at the National Grove of Anaheim’s Drive-In OC at 7pm PT. For tickets and more information on the safety and wellness initiatives around his show, visit: driveinoc.com

DOOM HOLOGRAM OUT SEPT. 4
NEW SINGLE RETURN2SENDER DROPS AUGUST 28 + PERFORMING AT INSIDE LANDS FRIDAY
On September 4th, Scarypoolparty will release Doom Hologram, a gripping look into his creative genius. Co-produced and co-written by Scarypoolparty (aka Alejandro Aranda), Doom Hologram is exactly as he promised: a bold experimentation of unique sounds with distorting guitars and classical arrangements.
This Friday (8.28), Scarypoolparty will release his new single “Return2Sender,” where he channels the prodigious dexterity of John Mayer overlaid with the ethereal pop of The 1975. Listen here.
The eight tracks of Doom Hologram mesh modern electronics and experimental instrumentals with a dose of progressive nu-metal. The project’s title track is Aranda’s cry that despite the darkness of the world around him and the urge to run away, he will overcome. Elsewhere, Aranda tapped the Nu Deco Ensemble (Jacob Collier, Ben Folds, Macy Gray) for the project’s title track plus “Angel Delete,” layering spellbinding orchestral compositions and thrashing guitars over lyrics of anguish and hopelessness, and on “Paradox” his nu-metal sounds erupts into Sigur Ros-style reverie with the help of this Miami-based collective.
“Doom Hologram is a story from beginning to end,” says Aranda. “It is a conceptual piece of music that spans from classical to pop to metal.”

Over the weekend, Scarypoolparty — the multi-faceted singer/songwriter, producer, ace multi-instrumentalist and “musical savant” (Ones To Watch) — returned to Lollapalooza, the same stage that launched his banner 2019.
Amassing some 10 million streams on his debut Exit Form and paired with “a rare gift for musicality that stops you dead in your tracks” (Ones To Watch), 2020 was poised to be a breakout year for this unstoppable creative. January saw Scarypoolparty make his national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and scheduled to play nearly every major festival, including Hangout Fest, Bonnaroo, Kaboo, Outside Lands and MadCool (to name a few) — a monumental undertaking for this 26-year-old who was washing dishes and busking around LA just one year earlier. But then everything came to a sudden halt.
After selling out both of his 2019 tours, Scarypoolparty started writing again and performing via live streams with partners ranging from Bandsintown to Sofar Sounds raising money for timely causes including ACLU, Musicares, Grammy Foundation and others.
While quarantining at his Los Angeles home, Scarypoolparty spent a lot of time soul-searching, telling Billboard: “There’s a lot of self-reflection happening within my own life to figure out what I need to be focused on and how to help my community better and help my friends and family and to check up on people that I love. I think this time is really interesting for that because it’s taking a lot of us to really analyze what’s going on and to understand that we’re all here for each other. We’re taking big steps in our lives to understand that we need to stand up for what we believe.”
New avenues of renewed creative expression opened for Scarypoolparty: he expanded his altruistic objective by penning songs for his friends and his highly-anticipated follow-up EP release DOOM HOLOGRAM (coming in September) that he promises will be very experimental.
In the coming weeks, Scarypoolparty will host the inaugural OnesToWatch World Wide Wednesday on Live Nation’s Live From Home series, plus featured performances the GRAMMY Museum and MelodyVR, an app that provides live music in virtual reality.

Today,Scarypoolparty (aka Alejandro Aranda) releases his highly-anticipated debut LP ‘Exit Form’(DOWNLOAD/STREAMHERE.) Coming on the heels of a 30-date national headlining tour, ‘Exit Form’ is a sonic quest rooted in an amalgam of electronic sounds ranging from garage house to EDM to soaring acoustic-pop, all guided by Aranda’s soulful vocals. “‘Exit Form’is designed to be a journey,”says Aranda. “Brutal in the beginning with each track leading to something beautiful and simple.”
Co-produced and co-written by Aranda and TJ Routon (Sawyr), ‘Exit Form’showcases Aranda’s musical and emotional range, expertly fusing fast-paced walls of sound in an intricately-woven collage of pulsing beats. Elsewhere, Scarypoolparty confronts the negative impact of smartphones and social media on the hypnotic pop-rock banger “Millennial Love,” while softer, melodic hits like “Tonight” and “Cholo Love”are “reminiscent of the genre-blending Post Malone”(Alternative Press).

Pogue (Travis Barker, AWOLNATION) and GRAMMY-winner Mike Bozzi (Post Malone, Mac Miller).

Scarypoolparty, is an artist that “comes around only once in a lifetime” (Ones to Watch). During his first-ever full-band show at Lollapalooza, his intoxicating and jaw-dropping guitar skills paired with his masterful piano playing showed an artist “with a rare gift for musicality that stops you dead in your tracks” (Ones to Watch). In a set filled with a “confidence and abandon [that’s] just magical”(The Chicago Tribune), his musical prowess of landed him on best-of festival lists from Billboard, Ones To Watch, GRAMMY and more.
Today, Scarypoolparty continues to showcase his “impressive musicianship” (Billboard) on his latest self-produced single, “Diamonds.” Co-written by Alejandro Aranda and Sawyr, the song brings his full throttle energy and genre defying style approach to the forefront. Layered with electronic nuances, there’s an industrial-rock angst that encapsulates the yearning urgency of Aranda’s lyrics. The hypnotic, synth-driven track immediately calls to mind The Nine Inch Nails raw energy and The 1975’s bombastic-yet-exuberant dance rock.
