In February 2020, New Hope Club released their self-titled debut studio album and were set to tour around the world. It was undeniably a huge moment for the British band and the culmination of years of hard work. It was a time when band members Reece Bibby, Blake Richardson, and George Smith should have been celebrating—their LP had even landed in the top 5 in the UK—but they found themselves conflicted. While proud of how far they’d come, they knew they had so much more to offer.
Throughout the four years leading up to this moment, the band was moving at full throttle – crisscrossing the globe: Europe, Asia, South America, North America, and back again and again. The relentless music business machine of touring, promoting, and, most of all, chasing hits felt inauthentic and was moving them further away from what originally inspired them to become a band and make music together.
Not that the non-stop touring, the die-hard fans, and the world travel weren’t great, it just wasn’t unfolding quite the way they envisioned for themselves. Within a matter of weeks, the pandemic hit, the world shut down, and all the big plans for touring and promoting the record stopped – which was initially a huge disappointment, but later they would find it to be a blessing.
For the first time in their career, they found themselves back in the UK, in their childhood homes, away from each other, with time to reflect and contemplate what they wanted for the future.
Not ones for confrontation, each, unbeknownst to the other, was secretly harboring unhappiness with the path the band was on. Shortly into lockdown, after much self-reflection, it was time to reunite. A getaway was planned under the guise of a band retreat, but in truth, each had the intention of using the trip to express the need to right the ship, together, or go their separate ways.
In a remote country house in Lewes, England, they confronted each other for the first time. To their relief, they realized they each felt the same way and decided together they could tackle the tough questions: “Are we truly happy? Are we truly fulfilled?” “No? What do we do about it?” “We were still kids when we put together our last record,” says Reece. “We’d been influenced heavily by previous A&R and industry people, agreeing to go along with the majority because we were young, and it was all new to us.”
It was a turning point for the band—the change didn’t happen overnight. The tug and pull to be more pop, or make it more like this or that, or if we remix this song, it will be a hit, kept coming, but they made a pact to keep their heads down, work hard and remember why they started this band. The first step: they knew they had to reset and start writing music for themselves.
It’s what began a period of growth that pushed them to focus on their songwriting craft, their musicianship – each is a multi-instrumentalist, a songwriter, a lead vocalist – and to take on production duties this time around. Of this pivotal time, Reece says, “It’s been a few years since we formed the band, and in that time, we’ve grown together and become experienced musicians and writers by working with amazing people around the world. We felt that it was time to take this project by the scruff of the neck and guide our own path. We wanted to write and produce every song on the album and have full reigns over every small decision.”
Almost a year into this journey, in a London studio, something just clicked. They put their ideas on paper, developed their sound, and found their footing. They felt they hadn’t written anything like this before. They wrote, they re-worked and reimagined and it was magic.
New Hope Club craved authenticity and admired artists like The Beatles, Oasis, and Fleetwood Mac because of their innate honesty in their music. With this new body of work and clear artistic vision, they can be proud that they pushed themselves to make the art they always intended. “Growing up, we loved listening to seminal bands, and in this new album, you can actually hear a bit of that influence. Whereas the last album, we were, saying in interviews ‘Oh, we love The Beatles, and we love The Stone Roses and all these bands, but you couldn’t really hear their inspiration in our music,” says Reece.
Their new direction was also fostered by executive producer Ross Golan, who they enlisted at the end of 2020. He became integral as not only someone who helped shape the new sound of New Hope Club but as a life force as well. For 18 months, Golan and the group collaborated virtually—it was months before they even met in-person.
Golan was blown away by how skilled and hands-on the band was with this project. “Artists with this level of talent don’t exist in 2022. They each write with sophistication and play multiple instruments prodigiously. Blake is an A-list producer in the making, George is incredibly versatile, and Reece knows how to push us all for the best. With these skills, New Hope Club is going to be around for a long time,” he says.
Wanting to share more music with their fans, the band will kick start their next era by releasing two songs sets, paying homage to the A-Side /B-Side dynamic of the past leading to a full album release in 2023.
Each set of songs shows the dichotomy that exists in the band’s soundscape. “It really enabled us to make the sound of the record cohesive, whether the songs range from having a full band to an acoustic song. It’s the same sound, the same guitars which we’ve never experienced before,” says George. With their first set of singles, “Getting Better” and “Girl Who Does Both,” New Hope Club plays both ends of the spectrum, with the former being an exuberant, retro-tinged disco-pop song ideal that flaunts their strengths as a live band and the latter leaning into their songwriting prowess with the delicacy of a stripped-back Simon & Garfunkel-esque ballad. On “Call Me a Quitter,” the group opts for an up-tempo, sunny melody that masks how they could be making more of an effort in their long-distance relationships. “I know, I know, she’s becoming part of the furniture,” Blake sings with a sweet lilt. Its companion track—the upbeat breakup banger “Whatever,” evokes the sunny grooves of Earth, Wind & Fire that’s tempered with a laissez-faire attitude. The boundary-pushing pop anthem “L.U.S.H.” (“Love You So Hard”) shows the band musing about romancing an older woman. “The things you did last night, I can’t get ‘em out my mind,” Blake teases. Inspired by the FIFA soundtrack, “Walk It Out” is an adrenaline rush—the ultimate hype song with a free-wheeling chorus. The only song penned before the pandemic, “Just Don’t Know It Yet” is a stripped-back ballad with rich harmonies that envisions an idyllic future with a lover. On its B Side, “Don’t Go Wasting Time,” the band’s candor shines through with a delicate chorus that expresses how the band refuses to take their success for granted.
“When we met, we were so young; we’ve finally got to the point in our relationship where we talk about everything now. We never push anything under the rug,” says Blake. It’s what makes the group’s latest effort more honest than ever—and that’s something they can be proud of.

About New Hope Club
“Can’t Lose This Fight” is New Hope Club’s first release of 2024 and follows a string of irresistible pop tunes the band has released over the past few years. The British band kicked off 2023 with the introspective “Don’t Go Wasting Time,” which earned a spot on BBC’s Radio 1 Future Pop and followed with the stripped-back ballad “Just Don’t Know It Yet,” and the P1Harmony collab, “Super Chic.” 2022 saw the release of the acoustic “Girl Who Does Both” and disco-tinged “Getting Better” (BBC Radio 1 Best New Pop). The summery 60s rock-inspired “Call Me A Quitter” and “Whatever” followed that summer, delivering the band’s most searing, honest lyrics about relationships to date. The band continued to showcase their sonic evolution with the invigorating guitar-pop anthem “L.U.S.H.” and rock, hype song “Walk It Out” later that year.
Their UK Top 5 charting debut album was released in 2020 and has tallied over 170 million Spotify streams and almost 2 billion streams overall and features their worldwide hit “Know Me Too Well” (featuring Mexican superstar Danna Paola).
Having written and performed together since their teens, sonically inspired by great bands they grew up listening to like The Beatles, The Strokes, and Vampire Weekend, Blake, George and Reece have gone from playing local pub gigs in Manchester to growing a devoted global fanbase, selling out headline shows everywhere from Los Angeles to New York, London to Seoul and Tokyo. They have amassed over 3 billion global streams and over 890 million YouTube views. New Hope Club’s global following is especially strong in Asia. In South Korea, their debut album has been certified 6 x Platinum, and they regularly catch the attention of the planet’s biggest K-pop stars, including V of BTS, Seventeen and The Stray Kids.
In addition to making music, the band has made inroads in the fashion world collaborating with brands including Celine, Ralph Lauren, UK designer Daniel Fletcher among others and has been featured in the fashion pages of GQ, V Man, Flaunt and Wonderland.
In between recording and touring, Richardson will also be making his acting debut, playing Sir Paul McCartney in the eagerly anticipated Brian Epstein Beatles biopic.

(April 14, 2023) Internationally in-demand British band New Hope Club have released their new single “Just Don’t Know It Yet” today. Poised to become a modern classic love song; the stripped-back ballad highlights Blake, George and Reece at their finest, delivering heartfelt lyrics and effortlessly clean vocal harmonies. The band will follow up with “Super Chic,” a collab with K-pop group P1Harmony out Friday, April 21.

“Just Don’t Know It Yet” is written by New Hope Club with Toby Gad and Fraser Churchill. GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and producer Gad has co-written some of the world’s most recognisable ballads including John Legend’s “All of Me,” Beyoncé’s “If I Were A Boy” and Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”
New Hope Club said: “This song explores the thoughts that run through your mind the moment that you fall in love at first sight. It’s that feeling that you can see your whole life together, yet you are still complete strangers. It’s stripped back and acoustic because we wanted the song to feel like we are serenading the one we love. The strings, recorded in Nashville, build throughout the song which provides a beautiful moment at the end, to pause and think over the lyrics.”
“Just Don’t Know It Yet” is the latest in a string of top-tier pop tunes the band have released since returning with new music last May – all of which have amounted to almost 7 million combined Spotify streams so far. New Hope Club kicked off the year with the introspective “Don’t Go Wasting Time,” which earned BBC Radio 1 Future Pop. Following the release of their UK Top 5 charting debut album in 2020, New Hope Club kick started their new era with the breezy, acoustic “Girl Who Does Both” and disco-tinged “Getting Better” (BBC Radio 1 Best New Pop) in May.
Sonically inspired by great bands they grew up listening to like The Beatles, The Strokes and Vampire Weekend; the latest music by New Hope Club is their most direct artistic expression to date. The summery 60s rock-inspired “Call Me A Quitter” and “Whatever” followed in August, delivering the band’s most searing, honest lyrics about relationships to date. The band continued to showcase their sonic evolution with the invigorating guitar-pop anthem “L.U.S.H.” and rock, hype song “Walk It Out” in November.
Having written and performed together since their teens; Blake, George and Reece have gone from playing local pub gigs in Manchester to growing a devoted global fanbase, selling out headline shows everywhere from Los Angeles to New York, London to Seoul and Tokyo. They have amassed over 2.5 billion global streams and over 260 million YouTube views. New Hope Club’s global following is especially strong in Asia. In South Korea, their debut album has been certified 6 x Platinum and they regularly catch the attention of the planet’s biggest K-pop stars including V of BTS, Seventeen and The Stray Kids.
Following a summer of sold-out shows across Asia and the United States, New Hope Club will return to perform their headline shows in Tokyo and Seoul this month. The band will open for Busted at their London O2 Arena shows in September. For all New Hope Club dates visit their website.
Blake will also be making his acting debut, playing Sir Paul McCartney in the eagerly anticipated Brian Epstein Beatles biopic. With plenty of new music and shows on the horizon for New Hope Club; 2023 is only getting better and better.

(January 27, 2023) Turning the page on the next chapter, one of the UK’s fastest-rising pop bands New Hope Club return with a new single and music video for “Don’t Go Wasting Time” today.
Once again, frontman Blake Richardson produced the track in addition to sharing guitar duties with bandmates George Smith and Reece Bibby. This time around, Reece handles lead vocals. On the track, George’s delicate piano echoes through a soft and steady beat, setting a cinematic tone. The lyrics paint a relatable picture as Reece recalls, “My father always said, he said, he said, ‘Don’t go wasting time. Time will let you waste away.” Evocative of a new year and season for change, it delivers an urgent message to seize the day and make the most of it. Musically, it showcases yet another side of the trio as well.
In the accompanying visual, the band perform this pensive anthem against the natural splendour of Joshua Tree in the background. Immersed in this warm landscape, the expansive setting and intimate performances showcase the guys up-close-and-personal as they play their instruments, while also hinting at the breadth of the gorgeous vistas around them. It seamlessly speaks to the song’s spirit of renewal.
New Hope Club wrapped up 2022 with “L.U.S.H.” and “Walk It Out,” the final release of their multi-track series. The 2-track collection accumulated just under 5 million total streams in addition to critical acclaim. The Honey Pop proclaimed, “‘L.U.S.H.,’ (Love You So Hard), is nothing short of a pop anthem,” adding, “we can already hear the booming sound of the ever-growing crowds around the world.” CelebMix added, “the songs serve as further example of the trio’s extraordinary musical evolution.” EUPHORIA. noted, “The latest singles, ‘L.U.S.H.’ and ‘Walk It Out,’ feature complementary sounds that feel as if they were designed to be sing-shouted in the car and groove to without abandon, respectively.”
Last year, NHC achieved impressive numbers with over 350 million streams and 220 million views on TikTok. This brought their cumulative streams to over 3.2 billion and total TikTok views to over 4 billion. Adding to their achievements in 2022, they notably sold-out headline shows across three continents.
The band continues to infiltrate every level of pop culture. Blake attended the Celine Homme 2023 Show during Paris Fashion Week with FLAUNT documenting the experience in a photo diary. The outlet added, “About the trajectory of his career, Richardson simply explains he is creating his own painting. And so far so good.” The group also made appearances on MTV Fresh Out Live and stopped by Entertainment Weekly.
Additionally, Blake Richardson will make his big screen debut as a young Sir Paul McCartney in Midas Man, the highly-anticipated biopic about Beatles manager Brian Epstein.

(October 27, 2022) Continuing a breakout year as one of the UK’s fastest-rising pop bands, New Hope Club maintain incredible momentum from their acclaimed series of multi-track releases by sharing a new two-pack: “L.U.S.H.” and “Walk It Out” available today.
Listen to the tracks—HERE.
“L.U.S.H.” appropriates some good old-fashioned British slang within the framework of a decidedly fresh and fiery 21st century anthem. In the UK, “Lush” describes “something or someone incredibly desirable.” For the boys, this holds true as the title doubles as an acronym for “Love U So Hard.” Right out of the gate, the thump of a toe-tapping bass line and bright guitars instantly set the tempo. The cheeky and catchy chorus swings like a wrecking ball with a confession, “I love you so hard, yeah your loving tears me apart.” In the accompanying visual, the boys perform in an ornate and classy ballroom. In front of a British flag, they tear it up as if the hall were Wembley for an audience of just the bolo tie-wearing proprietor. It concludes with them repeating the refrain after sucking down helium from a few balloons, capturing their sense of humor.

Then, there’s the shuffling shimmy and shake of “Walk It Out.” Synths light up the dancefloor as handclaps underline an instantly chantable hook. Preserving an unfiltered creative vision, frontman Blake Richardson produced “Walk It Out” and co-produced “L.U.S.H.” with John Ryan.
These tracks land in the wake of “Call Me A Quitter” and “Whatever.” The latter two-pack tallied north of 2 million cumulative streams and 1 million total views between the respective music videos. Upon release, CelebMix raved, “The contrasting styles of ‘Call Me A Quitter’ and ‘Whatever’ showcase the trio’s extraordinary musical evolution as they continue to further explore their brooding and quintessential British pop sound by delivering their most progressive and searingly honest material yet.” 1883 Magazine spoke to the band and attested, “The latest double-single, ‘Call Me A Quitter’ and ‘Whatever’ reminisce of summer sunshine and 60s glam rock, give just a taste of what New Hope Club has got in store.”
New Hope Club have gathered streams in the billions, attracted praise from the likes of FLAUNT, EW and British GQ, and emerged as a UK-bred phenomenon. They strike a sweet spot between ecstatic danceable pop and stadium-size rock dressed to the nines with runway-ready style.
Everything just paves the way for a whole lot more from the group soon.
“Getting Better” and “Girl Who Does Both” dropped earlier this summer. Together, the songs cumulatively tallied over 10 million streams and counting. Meanwhile, The Honey Pop proclaimed, “Blake, George, and Reese never fail to amaze us, and this new double release is no exception,” before going on to rave, “With these two songs in our library now, we’re absolutely stoked to see what NHC have in store for us with their sophomore album.”
The boys continue to infiltrate every level of culture. Blake attended the Celine Homme 2023 Show at Paris Fashion Week and chronicled it in a FLAUNT photo diary. The outlet added, “About the trajectory of his career, Richardson simply explains
he is creating his own painting. And so far so good.” Meanwhile, he recently met one of the biggest stars in the world (and longtime New Hope Club fan) V of BTS. Other looks included MTV Fresh Out Live and Entertainment Weekly.
Plus, the front man will make his big screen debut as none other than a young Sir Paul McCartney in Midas Man, the much-anticipated biopic on Beatles manager Brian Epstein.
Stay tuned for more from New Hope Club.

Infiltrating Culture with Looks from Entertainment Weekly, MTV, Flaunt, & More
(August 18, 2022) Generating streams in the billions, earning acclaim from the likes of FLAUNT and EW and hailed as one of the UK’s fastest-rising pop bands, New Hope Club continue a series of multi-track releases with a new two-pack available today, including “Call Me A Quitter” and “Whatever.”
Listen to the tracks—HERE.
With a homegrown and decidedly old school approach to pop, these multifaceted musicians—Blake Richardson, Reece Bibby, and George Smith—not only deftly performed “Call Me A Quitter” and “Whatever,” but they also co-wrote each of the songs with Blake personally producing “Whatever.” Meanwhile, “Call Me A Quitter” arrives with a cinematic music video.
Watch it HERE.
Nodding to the sixties with a fresh 21st century twist, “Call Me A Quitter” cruises along on breezy guitar, handclaps, and sunny harmonies. It culminates on a chorus that’s as confessional as it is catchy, “I could love her just a little bit better / Because if I don’t someone gonna come along and get her / Oh nobody, nobody, nobody can call me, call me a quitter / I should love her just a little bit better.”
New Hope Club said, “We feel this is the most personal song we have ever released. ‘Call Me A Quitter’ came about when we were sitting in the back of a cab in London, talking about how we were struggling with our relationships during the pandemic. It was a kind of therapy session for the three of us to write down how we had all been feeling. The song is mostly about the self-realization that we can do better in all aspects of our life. This was the song and moment for us to change that around and not quit on what we had worked so hard for.”
Directed by Carrick Moore Gerety [Weezer, Common], the music video finds the band in a Wes Anderson-style time warp. They perform—decked out like classic mod preps—in the ballroom of an ornate mansion. Scenes follow at the breakfast table and by the pool as their real-life girlfriends step in and out of the frame without ever revealing their faces. The clip brings the lyrics to life with a reminder to never quit on true love.
Meanwhile, glowing piano underlines “Whatever” as a simmering groove gives way to moments of hypnotic high register on the refrain. The pointed lyrics sit somewhere between the exhale of letting go and the bitterness of its resolution. They sing, “You’re still wearing my T-shirt, but with some other guy, ‘cause it shows off your features. Does he know that it’s mine?”
These tracks arrive on the heels of “Getting Better” and “Girl Who Does Both,” which dropped earlier this summer. Together, the songs cumulatively tallied over 1 million Spotify streams and counting.
“Getting Better” music video June 22
(June 15, 2022) New Hope Club are kicking off their new era with a multi-track release: “Girl Who Does Both” and “Getting Better” out June 15. The tracks – written and performed by Blake, George and Reece – showcases the band’s extraordinary musical evolution. The songs also mark Blake’s debut as a producer, developed under the band’s mentorship with multi-platinum, award-winning US producer and songwriter Ross Golan (5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5).
Harking back to the contrasting A-side/B-side dynamics of the past, the delicate Simon & Garfunkel-leaning ballad ‘Girl Who Does Both’ shows off the band’s acoustic side while ‘Getting Better’ is an exuberant retro-tinged disco-pop song.
New Hope Club said: “It has been a few years since we formed the band and we have grown together and become experienced musicians and writers by working with amazing people around the world. We felt that it was time to take this project by the scruff of the neck and guide our own path. We wanted to have full reigns over every decision. Writing during a pandemic had an effect on us, we felt that we needed to spread some light and positivity in a time where it was pretty hard to find.”
“Girl Who Does Both” hears them celebrating every side of their girl’s personality, amid the band’s trademark, soaring harmonies while the catchy “Getting Better” is a perfect primer for summer and the slice of pop escapism the world needs right now. Reflecting the trio’s cheeky and carefree outlook and manifesting positivity, they sing, “Good days are coming, coming my way… Life’s getting better”.
New Hope Club said: “‘Girl Who Does Both’ is a love note to our girlfriends. We love the little things and this song goes through all of those subtle details that you fall in love with when you meet someone. ‘Getting Better’ embodies the album, it portrays exactly how we were feeling when we began this project, starting a new era. Being in the studio together, making music with our best friends, life was getting better.”
Having written and performed together since their teens – and all still only 22-years old – New Hope Club is starting a new chapter with greater clarity on their creative purpose. Inspired by great British bands they grew up listening to like The Beatles, The Stone Roses and Oasis; but there are magic touches of classic sounds all over a treasure trove of new music – from sunshine 60s LA pop to reggae rhythms. Blake, George and Reece are making music that resonates, whether they write about relationships, transitioning into adulthood, or simply to spark joy.
The trio from Manchester had gone from playing local pub gigs to growing a devoted global fanbase, selling out headline shows everywhere from Los Angeles to New York, London to Seoul and Tokyo. They have amassed over 2 billion global streams and over 250 million YouTube views. The band’s 2020 self-titled debut album hit Top 5 on the UK charts, and even caught the attention of K-pop superstars V of BTS and The Stray Kids.
With a US tour kicking off in July, plenty of new music still to come, and Blake tapped to play Sir Paul McCartney in the eagerly anticipated Brian Epstein Beatles biopic Midas Man; for New Hope Club 2022 is only getting better and better.

About New Hope Club
Northern England natives, New Hope Club (Reece Bibby, Blake Richardson, and George Smith) got their start gigging at local pubs and within a year found themselves touring around the world introducing their Britpop-inspired, emotionally honest brand of guitar-driven pop. In 2019 they embarked on their first headline world tour, selling out shows across the globe – North America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and UK; from Los Angeles to New York, to Seoul, Tokyo and London.
With arena shows, a loyal fanbase, and a cluster of singles under their belts New Hope Club ushered in 2020 with the release of their self-titled debut album in February, which entered top 5 on the UK album charts and featured “Know Me Too Well” ft. Danna Paola.
Then 2020 came and the pandemic halted any big plans they had for touring the record. For the first time in their five-year career, the band had time to contemplate their purpose as artists, their process and how they could move forward as a group.
Beginning in June and continuing over the course of the coming year, the trio will kickstart their next era by releasing new music, written and recorded with executive producer Ross Golan (Maroon 5, Charlie Puth, 5 Seconds of Summer), leading up to a full album release. The new songs and direction will showcase the band’s versatility, their evolution as songwriters and musicians, and will feature Blake on production duty.
With the passionate fanbase in their corner, a tour on the horizon, and new music on the way, 2022 is only getting better and better.

RESCHEDULED UK TOUR TO TAKE PLACE IN APRIL 2021
CURRENTLY ON A VIRTUAL WORLD TOUR IN COLLABORATION WITH YOUTUBE LIVE
New Hope Club have just released a special extended version of their debut album, digitally. It features six additional songs which were included as bonus tracks on the physical release, and now as a treat for the fans, are available for the first time across streaming services.
In bringing their first full-length to life, all three band members began exploring their own distinct sensibilities more fully and fearlessly than ever. To push further into that exploration, each musician created a separate bundle of songs spotlighting their unique songwriting and sound: Reece’s “Turning Red” leans toward lo-fi bedroom pop, George’s “Flight Away” references ’60s sunshine pop, and Blake’s “We Broke Up in a Dream” embodies elements of classic psychedelia. “That one was quite fun to record, because we ended up adding a choir,” says Blake, who served as producer on each of the six bonus tracks. “But really the choir was just me and George in my bedroom, feeling like absolute idiots, trying to sing in these operatic voices.”
“Just To Find Love,” “Remember,” “We Broke Up In A Dream,” “How To Say I Love You,” “Turning Red” and “Flight Away” were all written by the band, so are very personal and close to their hearts. The self-titled LP came out earlier this year, and charted at number 5 in the Official UK Album Chart. Listen to the extended version of New Hope Club, here.

(Friday, April 24, 2020) Hollywood Records / Virgin EM artists NEW HOPE CLUB have released “Worse,” a brand-new track, produced by hitmakers The Monsters and Strangerz (Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Zedd & Maren Morris’s #1 single “The Middle”) and co-written by the band with James Alan Ghaleb (Jonas Brothers, Troye Sivan, Charlie Puth), along with a stunning companion video directed by Bailee Madison. The video marks the directorial debut of Madison, an alum of the hit TV series Wizards of Waverly Place and she reunited several of her former castmates for the song’s love-on-the-rocks storyline – click HERE to watch the director’s cut.
“We had the storyline and visuals pictured in our heads and are so proud to have captured that on video,” says New Hope Club lead singer Blake Richardson.
“Worse” sees New Hope Club performing across different eras – a chance for Richardson and bandmates George Smith and Reece Bibby to pay homage to a few of their musical heroes in fashion and form.
“It was so amazing, fun and different to see New Hope Club ‘through the years’ while keeping to a specific storyline. And Bailee was so great to work with. We knew we could put all our trust in her to bring our vision to life.”
“Blake and I were discussing visual ideas for a song about losing someone and how much that hurts, but that seeing that person with someone else would be worse,” says Madison, who also stars in the video. “Blake and I play a couple whose story is told through different decades and scenarios where he realizes my character is not as loyal as he would hope.”
“We’re so excited to have made the first New Hope Club video that mixes their music with elements of film and television and dialogue pieces,” she adds. “Since this was my first time directing, I wanted to share the moment with some friends of mine that have been so supportive through the years. I was so excited when some of my ‘Wizards’ cast mates were in town and down to be a part of it. I’ve known them since I was 11 years old and being back together with their encouragement and support was so incredible. A few others near and dear to me made the day extra special – my friends Maddie Ziegler, Meg Donnelly, Robyn Lively and Bart Johnson. It was a labor of love and I’m beyond grateful that the band trusted me to direct it.”
Fans of “Wizards of Waverly Place” will have fun spotting guest appearances from the series’ cast, including David Henrie, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals Barrera and David DeLuise, as well as Maddie Ziegler, Meg Donnelly, Bart Johnson and Robyn Lively.
The song follows the release of New Hope Club’s self-titled debut album, which landed Top 5 on the UK’s Official Album Chart.
The British trio have also been helping fans get through self-quarantine with a series of livestreams featuring original songs, fan-picked covers of songs by The Weeknd, Niall Horan, 5 Seconds of Summer, Rex Orange County and more.
“It’s so important for us to help one another during this crazy time,” says Richardson. “We want to show our fans love and let them know that they aren’t alone. Music is something that’s always helped unite the world. We hope these songs and videos bring a little light and happiness to everyone.”
New Hope Club’s 13-track album, released this past February, features singles “Love Again,” “Know Me Too Well” (featuring Mexican superstar Danna Paola) and “Permission,” which have amassed impressive streaming numbers and received support from Spotify, Apple Music and BBC Radio 1. Working with renowned producers Matt Rad (One Direction, Little Mix), Iain Kirkpatrick and Jason Evigan (Dua Lipa, Jason Derulo), New Hope Club put together an accomplished debut album that firmly positions them as one of pop’s most exciting new bands.
New Hope Club is a force to be reckoned with on social media where they have an overall reach of 6 million. They’ve picked up over 260 million total streams, garnered over 1 million YouTube subscribers and racked up over 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners.

KICK OFF UK HEADLINE TOUR IN APRIL
(February 21, 2020) New Hope Club’s self-titled debut album landed Top 5 on the UK’s Official Album Chart. The 13-track album, released on February 14thvia Hollywood Records / Virgin EM features previously released singles “Love Again,” “ Know Me Too Well” (featuring Mexican superstar Danna Paola) and “Permission,” which have amassed impressive streaming numbers and received support from Spotify, Apple Music and BBC Radio 1.
With help from renowned producer Matt Rad (One Direction, Little Mix), Iain Kirkpatrick and Jason Evigan (Dua Lipa, Jason Derulo), New Hope Club have put together an accomplished debut album that firmly positions them as one of the most exciting new bands to come out of the UK.
The band said of their debut release, “For the last 3 and a half years we have been dreaming of releasing an album. From the day we met we have been writing songs together wherever we can, whether that be in a hotel room or on an airplane (which is where we wrote “Karma”). The album is a journey; we have grown up together, fallen in love, fallen out of love and learnt how to deal with being away from home, all at such a young age. All this time we have been dealing with these feelings by sitting down together and putting them down on paper – it’s almost like our therapy. The album really portrays our lives thus far in New Hope Club, including songs that got us to where we are today, which is why we saw it fitting to have the album self-titled as New Hope Club.” Listen here.
With plans to tour the U.S. this summer, the British trio will first embark on their second UK headline tour in April. The band will perform at the biggest venues they have headlined to date, kicking off at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on April 5th, and then make their way around cities including Birmingham, London’s Hammersmith Eventim Apollo and Manchester before wrapping things up at Glasgow’s SWG3 on April 16th.

(Burbank, CA) – June 22nd, 2018 – Hollywood Records/Virgin EMI Records artists, New Hope Club have released their latest single, “Medicine,” available HERE. The band, made up of Reece Bibby, George Smith and Blake Richardson, co-wrote the song in Los Angeles with Chris Wallace (The Vamps).
“Medicine is all about moving on from a relationship that ended with being treated badly, and how now you’re better off without that person,” explained George Smith. The song holds a deeper meaning to the band, as they’ve been playing it live for their fans for months, but hadn’t released a recorded version of it until now. “It’s one of our favorite songs we’ve put out,” continued George. “It’s up tempo and it’s so much fun to perform live.”
The trio has been touring the world over the past year with The Vamps internationally and Sabrina Carpenter in the U.S. They’ve also performed at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards Festival Stage, as well as Arthur Ashe Kid’s Day last summer. Last month, the band performed to sold out crowds for two consecutive nights in London at Shepherds Bush Empire. New Hope Club has amassed over 470,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 462,000 fans on Musical.ly. They are scheduled to perform at the AwesomenessTV Festival Stage at VidCon on June 23rd in Anaheim.

The trio also announced they will be opening for Sabrina Carpenter this summer alongside Alex Aiono. The De-Tour will kick off on July 6thin Vancouver, BC, and continue across major North American cities including Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, New Orleans, Orlando, Atlanta, Nashville, Boston and Philadelphia.
This will be New Hope Club’s first US tour; the band is also set to support The Vamps and Sabrina Carpenter on a UK runthis May.
Throughout the four song Welcome To The ClubEP, New Hope Club offer up straight-from-the-heart lyrics told in powerful detail. The EP builds off the bright and breezy pop of “Perfume” and brings in elements of electronic music and R&B. With its sleek beats and dance-worthy grooves, “Friend of a Friend,” brilliantly captures the rush of instant infatuation. “Water” fuses hypnotic rhythms with jangly guitar tones and finds the band dreaming up their own vernacular. “It’s basically our way of describing hotness—a girl who makes you melt and turn to water,” explains George. And on “Fixed,” cascading guitar lines and soaring harmonies provide a perfect backdrop to New Hope Club’s portrait of the pain of obsession.
